CARENERO is the smallest island in the Archipelago and the closest to Bocas town. It is inhabited by a vibrant and friendly native community, and a good number of foreigners, attracted by its beauty and proximity to Bocas (1 minute boat ride). This property has over five hundred feet of waterfront with two casitas for guests. The casitas are gorgeous, inside and out, and reflect the best of modern design with the best of traditional native building. From every point you can hear and see the Caribbean, and see the sunset. There are always breezes on our tip of the island, but we have air-conditioning as well. The garden apartment is surrounded by tropical plants, palms, and banana trees, and just a few yards from the beach. There is a terrace with a patio table and chairs, and inside, a full kitchen, a master bedroom with a queen sized bed, desk, a living room/second bedroom with two small cleeping couch day beds and a stone covered bathroom with double sinks and a shower for two. For those guests who want to be on a beach, close to town, and have an authentic experience of life in an Indian village, these villas are perfect. From the supreme comfort of your terrace or balcony you can watch the people of the village going to work, kids going to school, or playing soccer… you will hear roosters at dawn, and Caribbean music.
